Hi list...

Could someone please explain the difference between the field for AS2.0
Class in the linkage dialog box and the same field for the Component
Definition dialog box? I'm currently reading Moock's AS2 book, but
can't seem to find info on this. What's the difference between
designating a custom class in the component definition vs. doing it in
the linkage dialog?

Thanks,

Hiya,

The AS2.0 field is for linking together class and movieclip.
The AS2.0 Class in linkage is solely to tell the component which class to
use to
read the [inspectable] parameters from.

That's it.

I don't know why it couldn't just load it from the AS2.0 class field
but that's just me.
